a member’s guide to the Port Credit BIA

benefits of membership

Port Credit BIA was founded in 1977 and has close to 600 member businesses. As the BIA, we work in partnership with the city of Mississauga to maintain and enhance our unique waterfront community.

We focus our efforts on undertaking projects that add to the vibrant atmosphere of the village. This includes the general cleanliness of the streets as well as art, flowers and other decorative touches that serve to beautify the district.

Part of the BIAs mandate is also to provide marketing support to member businesses. One of the ways we do this is by helping develop programs to attract locals and tourists to small businesses in the BIA.

Events are also a big part of what we do. We work to sponsor and curate an impressive mix of events that cater to all demographics. No matter the season, there’s never a dull moment at the Port!

Membership of the BIA is made up of an outstanding variety of businesses including a diverse mix of cuisine, bars, unique retailers and professional services.

We pride ourselves on providing not only a vibrant and energetic environment that is quintessential Port Credit, but also a safe one.
